This project marks the second renovation completed by Matra for a renowned California-based visual effects, animation, and film studio. Focused on creating a state-of-the-art editing facility with dedicated review spaces, this tenant improvement spans two floors of the newly developed Stack Tower at 1133 Melville Street.

The final space features workstation areas, meeting rooms, private offices, lounge and collaboration zones, a motion capture room, editing studios, small review rooms, and a large 50-person theatre.

Finishes include carpet tile, chevron-patterned laminate, painted and polished concrete flooring, and extensive wall panels and ceiling baffles to enhance acoustic performance. A standout feature is the exquisite millwork package—valued at over $1,000,000—which includes a full-height Hall of Fame display at Reception, showcasing some of the studio’s most beloved creations.

To support the studio’s high energy demands, the space also underwent significant mechanical and electrical upgrades.
